1. Key Talent Palmer Ready for Important London Clash with The Gunners

The Blues manager Enzo Maresca announced on the final weekday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the team's important top-flight fixture against local opponents Arsenal.

The 23-year-old English midfielder was out of action due to a fractured toe sustained after an unfortunate occurrence.

“He is ready to start and participate,” Maresca commented. “All involved are pleased.”

This season, Palmer has been limited to four outings in all tournaments, finding the net on two occasions.

After joining from City in 2023, he has achieved 45 strikes and 29 setups in 101 games for Chelsea.

“He is our top performer, we are happy he is back, we need to provide him with time to be 100% fit,” Maresca noted. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

2. The Toffees Get No Explanation for Failed Idrissa Gueye Red Card Appeal

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their appeal against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a fight with fellow player Michael Keane during the squad's narrow win at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegalese midfielder was shown a red card just early on into the game after slapping Keane during a disagreement over a poor pass.

Gueye quickly said sorry, and the teammates were seen making up later in a light-hearted online post.

However, the appeal against the red card was rejected, and Gueye must complete a three-match ban, leaving Everton depleted for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle United.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” coach the manager revealed. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about more issues from the event, Moyes continued: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we progressed rapidly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

Third Story: Wissa Trains with Newcastle for Initial Session since Injury

The club's new signing Yoane Wissa has practiced with his new teammates for the first time since sustaining a knee injury soon after his arrival from Brentford in September.

Head coach Eddie Howe announced the news on the end of the week but kept private a possible return date for the player.

Howe added: “We’ve got [a return date] in mind, but it’s probably best if I withhold that information. We don’t want to disappoint anyone. Of course, we want to include him as soon as possible.”

In other news, the defender will be out of action for a four-week period with a hamstring issue.

West Ham United head coach Nuno Espírito Santo has stated that the reigning champions' recent poor form “is largely irrelevant” as his team prepares to face the ailing top-flight title holders.

However, Nuno highlighted that there can be no complacency when the sides clash on Sunday at the their home ground.

The Hammers will welcome back Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are stepping up their return from injury.

Fifth Story: Morgan Gibbs-White Could Feature for Forest against The Seagulls

The club's manager Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be available for the team's home fixture against Brighton on Sunday.

The English international missed Thursday's Europa League match against Malmö due to a back issue.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche commented as he got ready to face the Brighton manager's side, who have taken seven points from their last three matches.

“It’s similar to a sore back, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or move improperly. So we’re not anticipating, at this point anyway, that it’s very severe and it’s settling down already. So we’re confident that it’ll be right for the weekend.”

Murillo was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring muscle after the 3-0 European victory, but Dyche said the player “is expected to be okay”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are likely to miss out.

6. Oliver Glasner: European Loss Won't Hinder Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner believes that the setback of midweek's Conference League loss to Strasbourg is a sign of how far the club has advanced in competing on two fronts.

The domestic cup winners went ahead at the away ground through Tyrick Mitchell's first-half goal but were equalized against by the opposition manager's side, who moved up to second in the group standings.

Crystal Palace now return to domestic action with a home fixture against the Red Devils, and Glasner is optimistic his team can maintain their challenge for a Champions League place.

“Comparable to the recent setback at Goodison Park, it just feels that it was totally avoidable and it is our fault,” Glasner commented. “Alternatively, we have to acknowledge it. The effort was there but it is a game we ought not to have lost.”

Glasner stated that Borna Sosa would be absent for Sunday's match after he stayed behind to France, but Will Hughes, who went off during the opening period against Strasbourg, should be in the team selection.
